1.) Is this pregnancy viable?
A viable pregnancy means the pregnancy is progressing and a heartbeat is detected. It also means you haven’t miscarried.
2.) How far along am I?
It’s important to know the gestational age of your pregnancy. This refers to the number of weeks you’ve been pregnant. If you’re considering abortion, the procedure options would be determined by this date.
3.) is this pregnancy in the correct location?
Some pregnancies develop outside of the uterus. This is called an ectopic or tubal pregnancy. Ultrasound reveals whether or not the pregnancy is located in the uterus. An ectopic pregnancy can be life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention.
