Schedule Your Free Ultrasound

If you’ve received a positive pregnancy test, you may be eligible for a free limited OB ultrasound at Women’s Resource Center. An ultrasound can provide crucial medical information, giving you clarity as you think about what comes next.

This service is performed by a licensed medical professional and reviewed by a licensed provider to confirm your pregnancy and ensure accuracy. Pregnancy tests are an important first step, but they don’t tell the full story.

An ultrasound offers insight into what’s happening inside your body and helps protect your health during an unexpected pregnancy.

What an Ultrasound Can Tell You

A limited OB ultrasound answers three key medical questions that a pregnancy test cannot:

1. Is the pregnancy viable?

Viability refers to whether the pregnancy appears to be developing and whether a heartbeat is present. Many women are unaware that early miscarriage is relatively common, occurring in as many as 26% of pregnancies.

If a miscarriage has occurred, follow-up care may be necessary, and an ultrasound helps identify that need.

2. How far along am I?

Knowing how far along you are is essential. Gestational age affects what options are available and helps ensure you receive accurate information about your pregnancy.

For example, medical abortion is FDA-approved through 10 weeks gestation only.

3. Is the pregnancy located in the uterus?

In rare cases, a pregnancy can develop outside the uterus, most often in a fallopian tube. This is known as an ectopic pregnancy and can become life-threatening if left untreated.

Ultrasound plays a critical role in identifying this condition early and getting prompt medical attention.
